ITA and Getting to Global Announce New Partnership

The U.S. International Trade Administration and Getting to Global partner to bring federal government services to Export Connect, a new powerful resource for U.S. businesses going global.

Washington, D.C.—July 6th, 2022

The U.S. International Trade Administration’s U.S. Commercial Service and Getting to Global Inc. partner to shorten the communication gap between exporters and their respective government agencies and foster the equitable distribution of services, tools, financing and export literacy training across the U.S.

As part of their collaboration, the U.S. Commercial Service (CS) and Getting to Global will jointly deliver interactive workshops which guide U.S. merchants on many nuanced aspects of the export process. For example, Getting to Global’s GrowBig Initiative offers free guidance on:

Additionally, their collaboration will build on the success of their previous Strategic Partnership which resulted in the launch of www.export-connect.org. The newest edition will place all of these trade resources on a searchable visual map and add new trade resources across underserved business communities in both rural and urban areas. The platform will further list the latest International Trade Administration (ITA) services, especially those of CS. Getting to Global will host and manage the platform. If you are interested in having your organization and/or services listed on the platform, visit: gettingtoglobal.org/connect and create a free basic profile.

This partnership will help the U.S. Commercial Service and the International Trade Administration, a department of the U.S. Department of Commerce, fulfill its mission to help U.S. organizations compete at home and abroad. It comes at an ideal time for our post-COVID, recently “digitized” U.S. merchant base. Together, these two organizations will support U.S. brands and manufacturers to sell across multiple channels and geographies through scalable and easy-to-implement digital solutions.

“I would like to thank the entire team at the International Trade Administration and the U.S. Commercial Service for their vision and leadership in bolstering partnerships like ours with the private sector to help match companies with the right solutions for growth.”
Josh Halpern, Founder and Partner, Getting to Global, Inc. and Chairman of The GrowBig Initiative

“With the looming economic slow-down, it is more important than ever for companies to find, and sell to, their customers across the globe. Luckily, the recent mass adoption of online shopping has fast-tracked thousands of U.S. merchants to sell through online channels. This amazing partnership will allow us to broaden the reach of our Export Financing and Grant Navigation tools across the U.S. exporter ecosystem.”
Patrick Perreault, CEO, Getting to Global, Inc.

“Its an honor to work with Getting to Global to provide tools that shorten the learning curve and application process for women-owned businesses in need of capital to fuel their global growth.”
Simona Racek, Director of Exports, Getting to Global, Inc.
